about
I mentioned in an earlier post that I had my old bandmate over. Back in the Swimmingpool The Band days, Diana came in as a breath of fresh air, providing violin, cello and her lovely voice.
She came back over for the weekend and we got back to recording again. She is now, for whatever it's worth, officially the other person in Mall Ghosts (though she'll likely not be able to collaborate frequently due to us living in different states).
The music we made is in line with our earlier output. Heavily atmospheric drone focusing on texture and improv. Thematically, without going into too much (I like everyone to interpret it as they want) we focused on sense rather than emotion when it came to the content of the music. There's a lot more for me to get done. Some of the songs flow together in movements and may even end up as one or two very long songs when I finish editing the album. The tentative title of the album is "Lace" and the artwork was also done by Diana.
