Tik (pronounced Tick or Teek, either is okay), is a return to my earliest recording style. Straightforward ambient drone. I recorded it a while back following some pretty heavy stuff that I'll spare you from. To put it briefly though, it involved nearly loosing a loved one, some sensitive revelations and a few other things.
Because of this, I sorta just tried to make noise. Some of it came out really pretty though.
The result is something that I think is sort of creepy pretty, or lonely pretty. Sorry, I'm articulating it poorly, but this album was altogether uncomfortable for me for a while. A few people heard some of the songs off of it and really liked it. It wouldn't be fair to keep it to myself, even if it doesn't make me feel good to hear.
The image I get is staying in a large, old house, alone at night while a winter storm rages outside. The large home is lit by a small candle.
For as uncomfortable as this album makes me, I am proud of how the songs came out. Felt odd to go back to the genre that I used to focus on.
Anyway, I hope you like it.
