about

Ferox II: Witch Chords is my followup to followup to Ferox (which was the last album I put out under the name “Swimmingpool The Band”). Like the first one, it’s a collection of music to a movie (or movies) that hasn’t been made. This one features my John Carpenter influence much more than the previous track and is, in a way, my homage to the soundtrack of my favorite movie of all time (with my favorite soundtrack of all time): Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

Most of the tracks are atmospheric, brooding and pulsating tracks geared towards a sense of tension and nostalgic spookiness (I know that sounds dumb but I can’t think of a better way to put it). There are a few songs, though, that are meant to elevate other kinds of scenes (love scenes, action, ect). I don’t really have a story for this collection were it an actual soundtrack, but I did go off the theme of Witches since I don’t think a lot of movies take advantage of witches as a spooky sort of villain (the best one being Suspiria off the top of my head).

Since I’ve had these kicking around for a bit, I figured I’d post them while I continue to work on Hologram and, its followup tentatively titled, Brón.
